Our Mission
Psychiatry that sees
the whole person
At Open Door Psychiatry, we believe mental health care should feel accessible, respectful, and deeply human. Our practice was created to offer thoughtful, whole-person care in a space where people feel safe to speak, ask questions, and be truly understood.
We are a women-of-color–led team of psychiatrists and social workers who bring together medical expertise and therapeutic care. By working collaboratively with individuals and families, we focus on clarity, partnership, and culturally responsive treatment that honors each person’s lived experience.
Our approach is grounded in empathy, transparency, and trust. We believe no one should leave an appointment feeling rushed, unheard, or unsure about their care. Instead, we aim to create a calm, welcoming environment where healing is accessible, understanding is standard, and care is shared.
At Open Door Psychiatry, every conversation matters—and every door is open.
Evidence-Based Care
Every treatment plan is grounded in current clinical research, tailored to your unique needs — never formulaic, never rushed.
Genuine Compassion
Trust is the foundation of everything we do. We earn it from your very first visit through listening, not assumptions.
Accessible & Flexible
Same-week appointments and secure virtual sessions — care that fits your life, not the other way around
Proudly Women-Owned & Women-Led
Our practice was built by women, for everyone. We bring intersectional awareness, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to inclusive, affirming care for all who walk through our door.
